Kelenföld Powerplant

This old and very iconic former powerplant.

Once you are inside you realize that this just to much to handle. You will start feeling totally empty and don´t know how to handle it.

The iconic glass roof. The plant is constructed to let daylight into every corner.

The staircase to the cables in the lower floor.

This powerplant was the largest PowerStation in the world after its construction in 1912.

As I wrote it was constructed to let daylight into all parts. This is a glassconcrete floor letting light down to lower levels. A corridor of breakers…..

Some details…..

The bombshelter for the staff constructed during WW2. At this time there was no automatics in constructing power. Everything was closely monitored by the operators and smoothly trimmed.

I NEED to get back here again……
